Review for Famous Americans Civil Rights Test

I will have a test on the following Famous Americans Civil Rights leaders:

George Washington Carver was a scientist who found hundreds of uses for peanuts and made many important agricultural discoveries.

Helen Keller was both blind and deaf, but she became a skilled writer and speaker.  She fought for the blind and for women’s rights.

Thurgood Marshall was the first black Supreme Court justice who changed children’s lives through the Brown vs. Board of Education case.

Rosa Parks helped started the civil rights movement when she refused to give up her seat to a white man on a bus.

Jackie Robinson was the first Black baseball player who broke the color line.

Cesar Chavez was a Mexican American labor leader whose work improved the working and living conditions for farm workers.

Martin Luther King Jr. was a social activist and Baptist minister who played a key role in the American civil rights movement.
